Why we started J²
Over a 10+ year accounting career, Justin worked nearly every seat in the department: AR/AP, staff accountant, project accountant, FP&A and controller. Most of it was in construction, at general contractors, subcontractors, specialty trades, heavy civil, commercial builders and equipment rental companies.
Along the way he worked with a lot of small and mid-sized businesses, and they all had the same thing in common. The owners were excellent at their craft: building, estimating, running crews, taking care of customers. But the business side (the books, the job costing, the cash planning, the processes holding it all together) was always behind.
Meghan saw the same thing from the operations side. In 10+ years of process improvement, system setup and business technology work, she kept running into companies where bad numbers came from broken workflows, and nobody had the time or tools to fix either one.
So we put the two together. J² is Justin and Meghan, and Profit and Process: a controller who knows construction, and a Six Sigma process specialist who knows how to make the fix stick.
We're not here to just report numbers. We help owners understand what those numbers are saying, use them to make better decisions, and build workflows that run efficiently.

Justin Regalado
Co-Founder · Profit: Accounting & Fractional Controller
Justin has 10+ years in accounting and has worked his way through every level of the function, from accounts receivable and payable to staff accountant, project accountant, FP&A and controller. He has spent that time in the construction industry, at GCs, subcontractors, specialty trades, heavy civil, commercial construction and equipment rental companies.
He leads J²'s accounting, controller, WIP, job costing and forecasting work. His favorite part of the job: taking a messy set of books, reconciling them, and turning them into a monthly picture an owner can make decisions from.

Meghan Regalado
Co-Founder · Process: Process Improvement & Systems
Meghan brings 10+ years of process improvement, system setup and business technology experience. She's a certified Lean Six Sigma Green Belt, trained to find where time, money and quality leak out of a process and to fix it with data, not guesswork.
She leads J²'s process audits, workflow redesign, system setup and internal controls work. She maps how work really moves through your company, removes the bottlenecks and double entry, and writes the SOPs that keep it running when things get busy.
